Feeling Different from Others?

Living in a society that fails to see, treat and portray the equal strengths of all its' people can make Black Americans feel slightly out of step.

First fired, last hired, vilified and constantly criticized: being black in America has been compared to India's caste system.

The effects of constant misinformation about our people results in our being treated badly in nearly every interaction we have with members of the privileged group.

From being ignored at the retail counter to being ignored in the classroom, from being accustomed to women clutching their purses, to being used to people huddling away from you in elevators, the average black person has taken more than their share of slights, swallowed sick innuendo, suffered ignorant comments.

How many times have you taken your beautiful black self into a unfamiliar, non-black environment only to be treated as if you were the ugliest thing in the world? You may have ignored it and reminded yourself how well loved you are by the people who really count in your life. You may have adjusted your clothing and made an extra effort to charm doubting eyes, but when you leave that place, clean your energy fields of other peoples' negative energy.

Surround yourself with the beatific light of God's love. Know that where it counts, in God's court, you're perfect. Step to this also Back to top

So
So people don't agree with your ideas. So.

And nobody understands that. Oh.

No matter what you try. It doesn't work. Yes.

But you can't give up because you deserve the best.

Everybody's marching to the same old tired drummer.

And you have the nerve to make your own beat. Hmmm....

Could be you're one of God's special people.

A person different from the rest.

With your share of failures and little support

Creating your own beat, Writing your own song,

Bringing a new rhythm,

A diverse tune in the Universe, Thank you.

The Spirit of Peace

A world of peaceful people is what creates peace. Each of us, in envisioning, experiencing, imagining and savoring peaceful intentions and peaceful moments - that's what creates peace.

When we urge our elected officials to push for peace, articulate peace and legislate peace - that's what creates peace.

When we teach our children peace, not fear, calm expression, not violence, understanding that their purpose on Earth is to show love - that's what creates peace!
